Your Faith Can and Will Always Work

Back in February, 2012, I looked inside my refrigerator. I observed I only had two eggs a little rice and some beans. I had just enough food for the day. I also had only 2 dollars in my bank account because I had had a little emergency and I had spent it almost all. For a moment I worried about my food supply because my next paycheck was 5 days away. I thought - Oh my God I have no food for tomorrow. When I finished the thought and heard in my mind the word tomorrow, I remembered the word of Jesus Christ who said – do not worry saying, what are we going to eat, or drink or wear? [Tomorrow] -  So, instead of worrying, I started giving thanks for everything I had. I gave thanks for the abundance (abundance that I did not have at the moment but I knew the Lord would supply). I started thanking God for my house, for my car, for my clothes. I thanked God for the favor he had given to me throughout the years, because He had never let me go hungry.

At night, I had to volunteer for a health fair that was taking place in my school. I went to the health fair. All that I knew was that it was a health fair and that I would be giving information to the parents of our students.  So I went.
At the health fair, the school had also brought the Food Bank of Houston. The food they had brought was destined to the parents only and not the teachers. But what was my surprise that by the end of the health fair they starting announcing to the teachers that the Food Bank had brought too much food and they did not want to take it back so they were also giving it to the teachers.
That night I went from not having enough food, to having food for almost a month. I had so much food, I had to give some away so it would not spoil.
Your faith can and will always work. Don’t take it for granted.
